Box Score 2 WAYNESBURG, PA – The Chatham University softball team dropped a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contests to Waynesburg University on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets (10-22, 6-12 PAC) won by scores of 1-0 and 5-1. Chatham falls to 6-17 overall and 2-14 in PAC play.
The opener remained scoreless until the sixth inning, when Waynesburg's Ashley DeMarco drove in Emily Sorton.
Jessica Milroy went 2-3 for the Cougars with two doubles.
Jenn Stefano went 1-3.
In the nightcap, Chatham took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when
Ashley Lamb drove in
Katrina Hawkins with an RBI single. Waynesburg then scored five unanswered runs, capped by a Jess Dorazio two-RBI single to take a 5-1 advantage.
Lamb went 2-3 in the game, and Milroy, Stefano, and
Erika Martin each recorded one hit.
Chatham wraps up the 2014 season on Monday, April 28, when they travel to PAC foe Grove City College.
