PITTSBURGH, PA - On Thursday night, the Presidents' Athletic Conference hosted their yearly All-PAC selection show on the PAC Sports Network. This year's lineup consists of two Cougars named to the teams, including one Second Team and one Honorable Mention honorees.
Second Team
Sophomore, Pitcher:
Hannah Uhrinek
Uhrinek delivered a standout season on the mound, finishing with a 4-4 record across 17 appearances and seven starts. She recorded four complete games, one shutout, and three saves while logging 65.0 innings of work. Her efficiency was highlighted by a 2.26 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP, holding opponents to 62 hits and 23 runs while racking up 63 strikeouts. Beyond her season totals, Uhrinek etched her name into the record books by breaking the individual single-game record for innings pitched (10.1) and tying the single-game record for strikeouts with 13.
Honorable Mention
Freshman, Third Baseman:
Madi Gorney
Gorney made a name for herself this season, starting 39 games and being an elite offensive unit. With 109 at-bats, she maintained a .376 batting average and a .489 on-base percentage, powered by 41 hits and a record-breaking 13 doubles. Her approach at the plate was evident as she drew 23 walks while striking out only seven times, adding five home runs, one triple, and 23 RBIs to her stat line. On the base path and in the field, she remained highly effective, going a perfect 4-4 on stolen bases and recording 118 catches, 46 putouts, and 59 assists for a .890 fielding percentage.
