Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH, PA – The Chatham University softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games to visiting Mount Aloysius College on Thursday. The Cougars dropped game one 4-3, then fell 10-1 in five innings in the nightcap.

Mount Aloysius moves to 7-5 overall, while Chatham falls to 0-3.

After falling behind 4-0 in the opener, Erika Bronk and Ashley Lamb scored in the bottom of the sixth to bring Chatham within two. Elizabeth Doman then scored on a Jessica Milroy fielder's choice to make the score 4-3, but the Cougars could not complete the comeback.

Anne Marie Brnardic went 2-3 at the plate and threw all seven innings on the mound. She allowed six hits and struck out one. Doman, Gina Abrego, and Erika Martin each recorded one hit for Chatham.

Mount Aloysius scored six runs in the second inning of game two to take an early lead. In the home half of the second, Elizabeth Deckelman drove in Lamb to make the score 6-1. The Mounties then scored one run in both third and fourth innings, and two more in the fifth, to win 10-1.

Lamb and Jenn Stefano each recorded a hit for Chatham.

Chatham returns to Varsity Field tomorrow, March 28, when they host Franciscan University. Game one of the non-conference doubleheader is set for 3:00pm.
