Box Score 2 GREENVILLE, PA- The Chatham University Softball team lost a pair of games against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Thiel College on Saturday afternoon. The Tomcats snagged game one by 10-1 and game two by 8-0. Chatham falls to 7-25 overall, 3-11 in PAC play, while Thiel improves to 14-16 overall, 7-7 in PAC play.
In game one, the Cougars managed to get on the score board first when
Natalie Vazquez scored from second base on a
Jenn Stefano RBI-double to right center field. Chatham kept the lead until the Tomcats scored six quick runs in the top of the fifth, holding the Cougars to one run the rest of the game.
Elizabeth Deckelman went 2-3 at the plate, while
Abby Maier and
Leigha Pehrson went 1-3 at the plate.
Leigha Pehrson took the loss in the circle, allowing 13 hits.
In game two, Deckelman went 1-2 at the plate.
Olivia Traini took the loss in the circle, giving up 10 hits.
The Cougars return to action on Tuesday, April 23 for a home doubleheader against Waynesburg University. Game times are set for 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
