Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WASHINGTON, PA- The Chatham University Softball team suffered a sweep against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Washington & Jefferson College in a doubleheader matchup on Wednesday. W&J took game one 10-2 and game two 8-0. The Cougars fall to 7-23 overall and 3-9 in PAC play, while the Presidents improve to 18-10 overall and 7-3 in PAC play.
 
In game one, Chatham set the tone with a Natalie Vazquez run in the top of the first. W&J quickly answered with a run in the bottom of the first and continued to out score the Cougars 9-1 into the bottom of the fifth. Vazquez recorded both Cougar runs, while Elizabeth Deckelman, Olivia Traini, and Leigha Pehrson went 1-2 at the plate. Deckelman and Traini each grabbed one RBI.
 
Pehrson took the loss in the circle, giving up 14 hits.
 
In the nightcap, Vazquez went 1-2 at the plate, while Elise Zavadak went 1-1 at the plate.
 
Traini took the loss in the circle, giving up 11 hits while striking out two.
 
The Cougars return to action on Saturday, April 20 for an away doubleheader against Thiel College. Game times are set for 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
