Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH, PA – Visiting Pitt-Greensburg tallied 20 total hits in a two-game sweep of Chatham University in softball action Wednesday night.  The Bobcats won by scores of 7-2 and 9-2.  Game two was called in the bottom of the sixth due to darkness.
 
Chatham (7-17) got on the board first in the opener, courtesy of an Elizabeth Deckelman RBI single.  Pitt-Greensburg (14-7) scored the next seven runs, though, to go up 7-1.  Deckelman then scored in the fourth inning thanks to a Bobcat error, but the Chatham offense was shut down from then on.
 
Deckelman went 2-4 at the plate with a run scored and one RBI.  Ashley Lamb and Natalie Vazquez went 1-2 at the plate, while Leigha Pehrson and Jenn Stefano each went 1-3.  Pehrson suffered the loss on the mound, throwing all seven innings and striking out five.
 
Pitt-Greensburg maintained their momentum at the start of game two, scoring four runs in the first inning and three more in the second to take a quick 7-0 lead.  The lead ballooned to 9-0 in the third inning.  Elizabeth Doman got Chatham on the board in the bottom of the third with an RBI double.  An Olivia Traini RBI single in the fourth gave the Cougars their second run.
 
Doman, Lamb, Stefano, and Vazquez each recorded a hit for Chatham.  Traini threw all five innings for Chatham, striking out two batters.
 
Chatham will return to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Saturday, April 13 when they host Westminster College.  Game one of the doubleheader is set for 1:00pm.
