Box Score 2 TUCSON, AZ- The Chatham University Softball team suffered two losses against Texas Lutheran University and Baldwin-Wallace College on Tuesday afternoon at the Tucson Invitational. The Cougars fell by scores of 6-1 to Texas Lutheran and 13-6 to Baldwin-Wallace. Chatham dropped to 0-6 overall in the young season, while Texas Lutheran improved to 12-5 and Baldwin-Wallace advanced to 4-2.
Against Texas Lutheran,
Ashley Lamb,
Elizabeth Doman, and
Natalie Vazquez led the Cougars by each going 1-3 at the plate.
Dawson Bancroft-Short went 1-2. Vazquez also finished with an RBI.
Leigha Pehrson pitched a complete game, taking the loss.
Against Baldwin-Wallace, Doman and
Olivia Traini went 2-4 at the plate followed by
Jenn Stefano (2-3), Vazquez (1-4), Lamb (1-4), and Pehrson (1-4). Stefano and Traini each grabbed two RBI and Pehrson tallied one.
The Cougars take a day off from the Tucson Invitational until returning again on Thursday, March 14 against Central College at 1:30pm and Concordia University at Austin at 3:30pm.
