TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its weekly award winners for Week 8 of the 2026 Baseball season.

Chatham senior RHP Cason Bennett was named PAC Pitcher of the Week after two lockdown appearances led the Cougars to two of their three victories last week.
 
Bennett pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief on Wednesday against Saint Vincent, blanking the Bearcats while allowing 4 hits and striking out 5 to pick up the win. Then on Saturday in the first game of Chatham's twin bill against Westminster, the Vandalia, Ohio native tossed a complete game while allowing just an earned run on 8 hits with 6 strikeouts to earn his second victory in four days.
 
Bennett improved his record to 4-1 on the season while lowering his ERA to 3.86. The Vandalia Butler product has yielded just 3 extra-base hits across his last nine outings (38 2/3 IP) while punching out 33.
 
The Cougars will head to Hiram tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
