Cougars Take On Day 1 at CMU

Pittsburgh, PA - Track and Field went across town and competed in day one of the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Friday.  

Day one saw the Cougars participate in three total events: women's shot put, women's hammer throw, and women's 1500m. 

Senior Kayla Johnson finished in 20th position in women's shot put. The Jacksonville, FL native finished with a score of 10.56. Junior Sarah Yannayon got the Cougars on the board in women's hammer throw, the opening event of the day, finishing 24th overall with a score of 33.57. 

33.57. The Cougars ended the day with first-year Eliana Borne participating in the women's 1500m event. The Pittsburgh, PA native finished with a time of 5:09.45. 

Track and Field will be back in action on Saturday, March 28th. Day 2 of the Carnegie Mellon Invitational is scheduled to start at 10 am.
