TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its weekly award winners for Week 9 of the 2026 Men's Volleyball season.
Chatham sophomore libero
John Gasiorowski was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording 35 digs in the Cougars' two matches this past week. In Chatham's first match of the week against the Golden Tornadoes, the Bethel Park product racked up a career-high 23 digs and 2 assists in a 3-1 comeback victory. Then against Saint Vincent on Saturday, Gasiorowski tallied 12 digs and 3 assists in 3 sets. During conference play, the sophomore has the fifth-most digs per set in the PAC at 2.38. As a team, the Cougars rank second in the conference and are top-five in the country with 12.21 digs per set.
Chatham first-year middle hitter
Armani George earned the PAC Newcomer of the Week award by totaling 13 kills, 8 blocks and 3 digs in the two matches. In Wednesday's win, the Reading native hit .450 with a season-high 9 kills and 7 blocks. In the second match of the week, George attacked at a .500 clip, contributing 4 kills, 2 digs and a block for the Cougars. The Governor Mifflin graduate is currently fifth in the conference with a block per set average, and is eighth in the PAC with a .316 hitting percentage this season.
Men's Volleyball will host Hiram in their next match on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
