PITTSBURGH, PA. - It was a tough night for the Chatham men's soccer team as Wabash came into tonight's game with no mercy in mind.
THe Cougars started tonight's game out on a high note when they held the Little Giants scoreless for 40 minutes. It was in the 42nd minute where the Little Giants would strike and find their first goal of the game, and only of the first half.
The Cougars were unable to hold the Little Giants back in the second half though as they added three more goals in the last 45 minutes of them game. In addition to the goals they scored, there was no pulling away as the Little Giants recorded 10 shots on goal compared the Cougars one.
Goalkeeper Elijah Smith recorded six saves for the Cougars in an effort to stop the Little Giants, while Jonah Lewis recorded the only shot on goal and Charlie Ayers led the game with two shots himself.
The Cougars look to get back to work tomorrow, Saturday, September 6th, at UPMC Graham Field against Oberlin College at 4PM.
