TRAFFORD, Pa. - The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) has announced its 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll results and Players to Watch List for the upcoming women's volleyball season. Chatham was tabbed to finish third out of six teams in the PAC South Division following a third-place overall finish and PAC Semifinal appearance in 2024.
 
The Cougars were slated by the PAC head coaches to finish behind Saint Vincent and Washington & Jefferson. Franciscan, Waynesburg, and Bethany round out the conference's new South Division.
 
Chatham's three 2024 All-PAC second team selections made an appearance on the conference's Players to Watch list for 2025. Senior Sierra Ricci was highlighted along with juniors Becca Gesner and Ava Plunkard.
 
Ricci tallied 504 digs (5.60 d/s) as the libero last campaign and will once again be a key contributor to the Cougars' defense.
 
Gesner led the 2024 team with 249 kills (2.83 k/s) and returns as an important piece of the Chatham attack.
 
Plunkard, returning as the Cougars' setter, finished fourth in the PAC last season with 6.92 assists per set and was second in the conference with 0.50 aces per set.
 
Chatham will open the 2025 season with a 12 p.m. home match on Saturday, Sept. 6 against Pitt Greensburg.
