Three Cougars Selected as UCHC Players to Watch

Rochester, NY - On Wednesday, the UCHC released its 2025-26 women's hockey players to watch. There were three Cougars amongst the players listed: Senior Sam Brophy, Senior Liv McTavish, and Sophomore Klara Miuller.

Goaltender Sam Brophy looks to build off of her strong 2024-25 campaign as Chatham's number one backstop, where she appeared in 17 games, starting in 15 of them. The London, ON, Canada native finished last season with a .910 save percentage, good for 4th in conference, and led the UCHC with 39.5 saves per game.

Forward Liv McTavish returns after appearing in 19 games last season. She tallied seven points in those games, two coming from key goals. McTavish also finished the 2024-25 season with 17 blocks.

Forward Klara Miuller is coming off a strong first season, where she was a spark plug for the Cougar offense. Playing in just 12 games last year, the UCHC All-Rookie Team member scored five goals and totaled 6 points.

The Cougars will face off against Lebanon Valley in their home opener on Friday. The game is set to start at 3:00 pm.
