First year forward Cade Wiley appeared in 22 games for the Cougars recording four blocked shots. The Andover, MA native joined the Cougars from Proctor Academy and instantly contributed to the team. Cade has made an impact on the ice for the Cougars and plans to use her D3 experience to impact the science community after graduation.

Why did I choose D3?

I chose to play Division III athletics because I am passionate about my sport but wanted to be able to prioritize my education in order to pursue a career in medicine. The Division III schedule gives me the opportunity to balance sports, school, and a social life without feeling overwhelmed. I love that I can compete at such a high level that still fulfills the other parts of my life and suits my ability level.

What do I enjoy most about D3?

The part of playing a Division III sport that I enjoy most is the community. My team immediately became my family when I started at Chatham and that family will continue to grow throughout my time here. I have a group of 30 best friends and an entire staff of coaches and athletic trainers to support me with any part of my life. Our strength coach CJ, for example, always emphasizes to us that he is always there for us if we need anything, even if it doesn't apply to our sports. I love the small school environment at the Division III level that creates a close knit community of athletes.
