PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 18, 2023 - Chatham Women's Lacrosse began its season with a 20-4 road win against La Roche Saturday afternoon. It marks the first win for new head coach
Morgan Comport, who joined Chatham in August.
Junior attacker
Stephanie Walter tallied eight points on the day with seven goals and an assist. Senior attacker
Selena Justus recorded seven points with five goals and two assists. In net, first year goalie
Audrey Mason recorded five saves in her collegiate debut.
The Cougars dominated the first quarter 11-2 to take quick control of the contest. Walter scored six of her seven goals in the opening frame. Chatham would score nine more times and blank the Redhawks in the fourth quarter.
Chatham recorded 40 shots on goal to just 10 for La Roche. Turnovers were 10-8 in favor of the Cougars.
Women's Lacrosse hits the field again on March 4 in California against California Lutheran.
