SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – March 26, 2022 – The Chatham men's and women's outdoor track & field teams took part in the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday afternoon.
The women were paced by graduate
Alexia Page-Boyd's sixth-place finish in the discus, finishing at 39.55 meters and leading all Division III competitors in the event. First-year
Clare Erwin's eighth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at 19:09.94 led the distance events. Classmate
Aurielle Brunner continued her torrid start to the season after tying for eighth in the women's high jump.
Other top 20 finishes include a neck-and-neck finish between sophomore
Violeta Kenzevich and Page-Boyd, with the former getting better of her teammate and finishing in 13
th at 10.40 meters. Page-Boyd was one slot behind with a 10.31-meter throw.
The men's top finisher was the mixed 10,000-meter run, with junior
Kristopher Longenecker crossing the tape at 38:24.43 which ranked third amongst PAC runners.
The Cougars head to Westminster in one week from Saturday.
