PITTSBURGH, Pa. – March 26, 2022 – The Chatham University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams wrapped up the CMU Invitational with another strong showing.
To kick things off, first-year
Aurielle Brunner turned in another impressive performance in the 100-meter dash and the high jump, finishing on the podium for both events. Brunner clocked in at 13.57 in the 100-meter dash and 1.53 meters in the high jump, leading all PAC competitors in the field.
Elsewhere for the women, graduate
Alexia Page-Boyd had the best finish amongst all Cougars, a second placed finish in the discus, a 40.93-meter toss. Only a D1 competitor topped Page-Boyd in the discus. Senior
Rebecca Pennington was a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter run at 11:43.91, again tops between all PAC competitors.
For the men, first-year
Jack Matics had a 10
th-place showing in the 3,000-meter run at 9:46.60, the best finish within the team on Saturday.
Other top finishes include first-year
Clare Erwin in the 5,000-meter run with a 16
th-placed 19:14.67 final time, junior
Violeta Kenzevich in the shot put at 10.19 meters for 19
th-place and a 13
th-placed throw of 27.63 meters in the discus. and junior
Tresa Coon in the 800-meter run at 2:34.35. Senior
Parker Laughlin also took home 21
st in the 400-meter dash, and first-year Michael Conley was 15
th in the long jump at 5.79 meters.
Chatham heads to Slippery Rock next week for a meet on Saturday, April 2.
