Women’s Hockey Polled at Program-High Fourth in UCHC

ROCHESTER, NY – The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is proud to announce its 2022-23 Women's Preseason Coaches' Poll. The 2022-23 UCHC Preseason Poll is voted on by all 11 league coaches with defending champion Nazareth College selected as the top team in the conference at the start of the 2022-23 season.

Nazareth was a near unanimous selection, garnering nine of the 11 first place votes and 98 total points. The Golden Flyers enjoyed an unforgettable 2021-22 season, finishing 27-2-0 overall, while winning its first UCHC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division III National Quarterfinals.

Utica University is picked to finish second in the 2022-23 UCHC Women's Preseason poll, with 92 total points and two first place votes. The Pioneers won 21 games last season and finished 17-3-0 in UCHC play. Manhattanville, who was the No. 3 seed last season and advanced to the 2021-22 UCHC Championship game, is selected to finish third in 2022-23 with 83 points.

Chatham University, who advanced to the 2021-22 UCHC Semifinals, is selected to finish fourth with 68 points, while Stevenson University is predicted to finish fifth with 59 points. Arcadia University is right behind Stevenson and completes the top six with 58 points.

Alvernia University (47 points), Lebanon Valley College (36 points), Neumann University (26 points), Wilkes University (21 points) and King's College (17 points) round out the 2022-23 UCHC Women's Preseason Coaches Poll.

Next week, the UCHC will unveil its 2022-23 Players to Watch. Exhibition action continues this weekend before the 2022-23 regular season kicks off on Friday, Oct. 28.
