LOCAL FITNESS TRAILS / ROUTESĀ 

Chatham's location provides several opportunities to get off campus and exercise! Here are some quick safety tips to review before you decide to go for a walk, run or bike ride around the area:

  1. Abide by the Buddy System – never walk, run or bike alone.
  2. Watch What You Wear – avoid dark color clothing in the early mornings & at night. It is best to wear bright reflective material when exercising outside.
  3. Use Your Head – never wear headphones; You need your ears to be aware of your surroundings & to help you avoid dangerous situations.
  4. Carry Identification – have something with your name, phone number & any other important medical info with you when you are exercising outside.
  5. Keep Your Eyes Peeled – look both ways before crossing a street and obey traffic signs and signals. Cars may not always obey the right of way.
