A former player and four-year letter-winner at Chatham, Dani Pais serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics & Facilities and the Senior Women’s Administrator at Chatham University.

After graduating in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Pais became the Game Management Coordinator and Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach under the NCAA Ethnic and Minority Grant in 2010-11.

In her time at Chatham prior to being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, she has served as the Coordinator of the Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC), the Assistant Director of the AFC, Interim Head Women’s Basketball Coach and the SAAC Advisor. In 2015, Pais earned her Master’s in Business Administration, (MBA).  Pais is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and the direct oversight of the Athletic and Fitness Center which includes the daily functions of the campus recreation department including, intramural sports, fitness programs, and facility management. She is responsible for hiring, onboarding, and staffing the facility, working with stakeholders on facility rentals and fundraising endeavors, and managing game day staff and budgetary operations for the department.

In addition, her administrative responsibilities include overseeing the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs, the swimming & diving program and the baseball and softball programs.  She serves as part of the hiring committee for the department, is responsible for onboarding new employees, is the NCAA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Designee for the department and serves as the Assistant Deputy Coordinator for Title IX for Athletics. 

Pais has played a substantial role in the successful transition of the University from a women’s college to a coeducational institution. 

She has aided in the significant growth of the athletic department. Since her hiring, the University has added nine men’s sports and two women’s sports bring the total sport offering to 22 programs.

Pais is an active member of Women Leaders in College Sports, NIRSA and PIRSA. She serves as an adjunct professor at Chatham teaching a first-year experience course and is the advisor for the cheerleading team and the Muslim Student Association (MSA).

A native of the Greenfield section of Pittsburgh, Pais resides in Glenshaw, PA.
