Box Score 2 Bethany, WV. – (3/29/2015) – The Chatham University softball team played hard Sunday, but lost both games in the doubleheader against Bethany. Chatham lost the first game 19-3 and the Bison took game two 11-1. The Cougars are 3-7 overall and 0-2 in Conference play so far this season.
In the first game, senior outfielder
Brittany Yoisten (Coldwater, ON) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Senior Pitcher/Shortstop
Elizabeth Deckelman (Baltimore, MD) also went 2 for 3 and recoded a run. First year Pitcher/First baseman
Lyndsey Gallaway (Wooster, OH) earned six putouts, while first year catcher
Rachel Oplinger recorded three.
Game two would see Deckelman go 1 for 2, and senior Pitcher
Leigha Pehrson (Mt. Pleasant, Pa) also go 1 for 2. Gallaway earned four putouts in the second game, while Yoisten recorded two.
Chatham looks to rebound when they visit Westminster College Tuesday, March 31, 2015 for two games against the Titans. The games will be played at 3:30 and 5:30 pm.
