Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa – (2/21/2015) – The Chatham University hockey team skated hard today winning their record setting 10
th win of the season. The Cougars ended this season with an overall mark of 10-14-1, with a 7-4-1 record at home.
The Cougars were down 1-0 early in the first, but evened the game before the first intermission when junior forward
Katrina Hawkins (Powell River, BC) scored a (PP) goal at (11:01). Sophomore forward
Erika Martin (Fairbanks, AK) and sophomore defender
Kaitlyn Perrins (Calgary, Alberta) assisted.
Perrins would get her own (PP) goal at (04:06) of the second period. Junior forward
Erika Bronk (Fairport, NY) and Martin assisted. Neumann would then score twice, taking a 3-2 lead deep into the second period. First year defensemen
Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, MN) tied the game at (14:49), assisting on the goal were Hawkins and
McKenzie Haskins (Anchorage, AK).
Neumann's hopes were dashed when Janiga scored the go-ahead goal at (04:57) of the third period. Junior forward
Marie Soukup (Lake Bluff, Il) and first year forward
Haley Porterfield (Allegany, NY) assisted on the goal.
Chatham kept the Neumann goal tender busy taking 31 shots on goal today. Hawkins led all shot-takers with five, while Haskins and Petersen each took four. Sophomore forward
Jenny Jones (Kernersville, NC), first year forward
Cassidy Colhoun (Kincordine, ON), first year defender
Emma McFarlane (Ottawa, ON) and Martin each had three.

Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ON) was fantastic today stopping 16 of 19 shots in the win. The Cougars power play units once again showed how electric they can be, taking 13 shots and earning two goals during their five opportunities.
Seven Cougars would finish the season with double-digit points. Martin and Jones recorded (14), Bronk would finish with (13). Colhoun earned (12), while Janiga and Hawkins netted (11) each. Perrins ended the season with (10). The Cougars won more games this year than any other season in program history.
