Box Score Oswego, NY. – (1/16/2015) – The Chatham University hockey team played a close defensive game against ECAC-W rival Oswego State this evening losing the contest in the third period 2-0. The loss ends the Cougars three game win streak, giving them a record of 7-7 on the season.
Junior forward
Katrina Hawkins (Powell River, BC) had three shots on goal for Chatham, while first year defender
Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, MN) and sophomore forward
Erika Martin (Fairbanks, AK) each had two.
Martin went 1-6 on face-offs, while sophomore forward
McKenzie Haskins (Anchorage, AK) went 5-8. Sophomore defender
Karlee Kaufman (Mars, Pa) was 3-6 on face-offs for the Cougars on the day.
Senior goal tender
Megan Buchanan (Stittsville, ON) played a great game, giving up only two goals after facing 32 shots on the day. The Cougar power play took six shots on three opportunities.
Chatham will return to the ice today when they play Oswego State January 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
