Box Score ASTON, PA – The Chatham University Ice Hockey team picked up a pivotal ECAC-West win on Saturday, defeating Neumann University 3-0.  Chatham improves to 4-13-2 overall and 3-9-0 in the ECAC-West.  Neumann is now 5-12-1 overall and 2-7-1 in the conference.
 
With the win, the Cougars move back into sixth place in the ECAC-West.
 
Casey Morfeld scored with 31 seconds left in the first period to put Chatham up 1-0.  Erika Bronk and Erika Martin each recorded assists on the goal.  Bronk now has 10 assists this season.
 
Brianna Rice gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead at the 16:54 mark of the second period with an unassisted power play goal.  Jenny Jones scored her second goal of the season with 20 seconds remaining in the third period, after Neumann had pulled their goaltender.
 
Bronk and Rice each recorded three shots for Chatham.  Jones and Katrina Hawkins each had two shots.  Chatham was out-shot 27-13 for the game.  Megan Buchanan recorded her second shutout of the season in net, making 27 saves.
 
Chatham went 1-4 on their power play while holding Neumann to 0-3 on theirs.
 
Chatham will host Stevenson University next weekend in non-conference action.  Games will be played on Saturday, February 8 (8:00pm) and Sunday, February 9 (1:00pm).
