Chatham Falls to Neumann, 3-0

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA- Chatham goaltenderMegan Buchanan's (So., Ottawa, ONT/Rideau St. Lawrence) 30 saves on 33 shots were not enough to secure a win against Neumann University on Saturday at the Shadyside Academy Arena. The Knights outshot the Cougars 33-14. Neumann improves to 8-14-1 (5-8-0 ECAC West), while Chatham falls to 4-18-0 (1-14-0 ECAC West) in ECAC-West play. 

For the Cougar offense, Morgan Becer (Jr., Ligonier, PA/Team Pittsburgh) andErika Bronk (Fy., Fairport, NY/Rochester Edge) recorded four shots on net. Katrina Hawkins (Fy., Powell River, BC/North Island Extreme) added three shots,Casey Morfeld (Jr., Union City, PA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) followed with two shots, and Abby Maier (Sr., Cottage Grove, WI/Team Wisconsin) contributed one shot. 

Keira St. Laurent, Amanda Simpson, and Ang Gilmour each scored a goal for the Knights. 

Chatham and Neumann will wrap up their weekend series tomorrow, Sunday, February 10. The Cougars will take the ice at 1:00pm at the Shadyside Academy Arena.
