Chatham Ice Hockey Ties SUNY Canton 1-1

Box Score FOX CHAPEL, PA – The Chatham University Ice Hockey team played to a 1-1 tie against SUNY Canton on Friday. Chatham is now 2-1-2 on the season and has not lost since the season opener. Canton moves to 1-2-2.

This was the third time in the past four games that Chatham has played into overtime. The Cougars are 1-0-2 in those three games.

Casey Morfeld scored the lone goal for Chatham, just over seven minutes into the game. Katrina Hawkins and McKenzie Haskins recorded the assists. Canton evened the game with 3:01 remaining in regulation, as Bernadette O'Connell found the back of the net.

Morgan Becer led Chatham with five shots, while Morfeld and Erika Bronk each had four. Tara Treloar played all 65 minutes in net, making 23 saves.

These two teams play again tomorrow, November 16 at 1:00pm at the Roy McKnight Hockey Center.
