Geneva responded, however, with a 12-0 run, sparked by four Chatham turnovers and six points from Mann, to close the deficit to 26-23. Geneva then scored the final seven points of the half to go into intermission trailing by just two, 35-33.

Rowe's fifth three pointer of the game gave Chatham a 47-39 lead with 14:27 on the second half clock, but Geneva then scored five straight to pull within three. The Cougars busted the game open, though, by going on a 16-0 run over the next 4:40 to take a commanding 63-44 lead. During the run, Chatham shot 5-7 from the floor, while Geneva went 0-9.

The Golden Tornadoes cut their deficit to nine on two occasions late in the game, but Chatham sealed the victory at the free throw line, connecting on 12 of their final 14 attempts.
