PITTSBURGH, PA – In a close game from wire-to-wire, the visiting Bobcats of Pitt-Greensburg came away with a 64-62 victory over Chatham University in women's basketball action on Tuesday night. Chatham falls to 0-3 on the young season, while UPG picks up their first victory, moving to 1-2.
Taylor Ohm (So., Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) led the Cougars with 12 points, including going a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. First-year guard
Rachel McClain (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) was not far behind with 10 points.
Anna Shashura (FY., Fredericktown, PA/Bethlehem Center) and
Emily Schmidt (So., Eighty Four, PA/Ringgold) each contributed nine points for Chatham.
Morgan Biddle paced UPG with 16 points, while Chianti Sivek and Brittany Butterworth each tallied nine points.
Chatham will return to action on Monday, November 26, when they host La Roche College. Tip-off in the AFC is set for 7:00pm.
