Marsalis and Le Prevost-Groves Earn PAC Weekly Honors

PITTSBURGH, PA. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released their award winners for the women's soccer week of September 8-14. Included in the group of players recognized were Cougars;  senior Halle Marsalis and freshman Lauren Le Prevost-Groves

Marsalis was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week after having an impressive week with three goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Cougars. She had one goal, which came in the 52nd minute to give Chatham a 2-0 lead in an eventual 5-0 victory over Carlow on Wednesday. Marsalis then recorded two goals in Saturday's match with Penn State-Altoona, scoring in the 11th minute for the opening goal on the day and again in the 64th minute, as the teams played to a 3-3 draw.

Le Prevost-Groves was named PAC Newcomer of the Week after she was a vital member of the Cougars back line in a 1-0-1 week. She was a part of the crew that only allowed five shots on goal in two games, including a 5-0 victory over Carlow in which the Cougars didn't allow a shot at all. In the 3-3 tie with Penn State-Altoona, she helped Chatham limit the Lions to just five total shots on goal.

The Cougars are back in action this Wednesday, September 17th at 7 PM when they head to Marietta, Ohio to take on Marietta College.
