Morrow Awarded PAC SAAC Scholar Athlete of the Month

TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Scholar Athletes of the Month for the month of May. Chatham Baseball senior Dawson Morrow took home the award on the men's side.

Each month, the SAAC groups at PAC member institutions are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must be varsity team members in their respective sport and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within their campus communities.

Morrow, now graduated with a degree in biochemistry, was the SAAC representative for the Cougars' baseball team and was an orientation leader on campus for three years. He is a member of the TriBeta Biological National Honor Society. Morrow now plans to attend medical school.

On the diamond, Morrow threw 16.0 innings for the Cougars this season and posted four scoreless outings in 11 appearances. He finished the year with a .214 opponent batting average and 12 strikeouts.
