Women's Lacrosse Set for PAC Title Game

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On Saturday the Cougars women's lacrosse team will play in their first PAC Championship Game in program history. They will take on the preseason favorite to win the conference and #1 seeded Grove City on the road.

The Cougars entered the PAC Playoffs as the #3 seed in the conference. They were supposed to host the #6 seeded Allegheny on Tuesday April 29th, but a storm caused the game to be relocated and rescheduled. The game was played on April 30th at Saint Vincent. The Cougars came out on the winning end of that game 18-8. With the rescheduled first game the Cougars then had to play the PAC Semifinals the following day, May 1st. The Cougars traveled to Washington, Pa. to take on W&J. The Cougars and Presidents played one of the closer games you will ever see prevailing 12-11.

That sets the Cougars up with a PAC Finals match up with the Grove City Wolverines. The Wolverines and Cougars played earlier this season on April 2nd, also at Grove City. The Wolverines came out on top in that game 10-7. Tessa Hueber had three goals in that game and Sam Beall-Dennell had one goal and three assists.

The Cougars and Wolverines will square off in Grove City, Pa. on May 3rd at 1 PM, with the winner securing a place in the NCAA Tournament.
