ALIQUIPPA, Pa. - On Tuesday evening, the Presidents' Athletics Conference (PAC) held the 12th annual PAC Scholar Athlete of the Year Banquet at The Fez in Aliquippa to recognize student-athletes who excel both in athletics and academics.

Ethan Rinker and Women's Lacrosse's
Sam Beall-Dennell were Chatham's selections for PAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Beall-Dennell was a four-year member of the Chatham Women's Lacrosse program and holds the team's career records for goals (131), assists (69), points (200), ground balls (232), caused turnovers (99) and draw controls (336). She was named All-PAC First Team in 2023 and 2024 and All-PAC Second Team in 2022 and 2025.
Beall-Dennell was recently recognized as one of 200 undergraduate students to receive the National Science Foundation's graduate research fellowship program, which will help fund her graduate school research at Princeton, and, in 2024, she became the first Chatham student to be awarded the Goldwater Scholarship, which is given to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering. She graduates from Chatham with a double major in Biochemistry and Mathematics and will be attending Princeton in the fall in pursuit of a PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, with an end goal of becoming a professor of chemistry and teaching and conducting research at the collegiate level.
Rinker was a four-year member of the Chatham Men's Lacrosse program and held captain status in three seasons, including as a first year in 2022. In 2025, he became the program's all-time leader in both goals (115)Â and points (152). Rinker was an All-PAC Second-Team selection in 2025 and was an Honorable Mention in 2022 and 2023. He was also named to the PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll in 2024. This past season was the best of his career, with career-highs in goals, assists and points.
Rinker graduates from Chatham with a major in Exercise Science and has accepted a job as a strength and conditioning intern for the football team at the United States Naval Academy.
