Cougars Split DH Against Presidents

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH PA - The Chatham Cougars played in a PAC double header against he Presidents of Washington & Jefferson.

In game one, Chatham defeated W&J 8-7. Kayleen Garcia went 3/4 at the plate, including a double. Isabelle Griswold and Anna Borst both hit doubles as well with Griswold ending the game 1/4 and Borst finishing up 2/4 at the plate. Cloe Lopez and Victoria Murren both went 1/3 with Murren crossing the plate twice. All in all, the Cougs combined for 13 total hits. Murren started on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings with 4 hits, 5 runs and 4 strikeouts. Sheaden Berkson came into relieve Murren, she went 2.2 innings with 4 hits and 2 runs. Josie Underdonk closed out the first game pitching 0.2 with 1 hit and 1 strikeout.

In game two, the Cougs fell 10-2. Griswold and Borst both went 2/3, with Murren and Lopez finishing up 1/3. Underdonk started on the mound, going through 0.2 innings letting up 5 runs on 6 hits. Berkson came in after Underdonk. She pitched 1.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits. Delany Simerly wrapped up the game for the Cougs. She pitched through 3.1 letting up 1 run on 4 hits.

The Cougars (8-18 Overall, 2-6 PAC) will play in a double header against Grove City on Saturday, April 5th at 11:00am/1:00pm.
