PITTSBURGH, PA - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released their award winners for the women's soccer week of October 6-12. Included in the group of players recognized was sophomore defender Cougar
Sarah Vescio.
Vescio was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week after being an anchor in the Cougar back line last week.
She was a key piece this past week as the Cougars went 2-0 and had zero goals against. Vescio played all 90 minutes in both games against Westminster and Washington & Jefferson. Both the Titans and the Presidents were limited to just four shots each as well. Vescio adds to her strong defensive skills by adding a shot on goal against the Presidents.
The Cougars are back in action this Wednesday, October 15th at 8 PM when they hit the road to take on the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets.
