Pittsburgh, Pa. - On Saturday, the Cougars hosted the Utica Pioneers for the second game of the weekend series and fell by a score of 7-0.
The Pioneers came out attacking early and built up a 3-0 lead before the first intermission. The Cougars were unable to get much offense going in the period and did not register their first shot on goal until inside of two minutes remaining in the period. The Cougars were out paced in shots on goal 18-1 in the first period.
In the second period the Pioneers continued their offensive attack and scored another pair of goals. The Cougars had three shots on goal and only five shots total in the period.
In the third period the Pioneers tacked on an additional two goals to make the final score 7-0. The Cougars will be back in action on Friday November 22nd, at home against Manhattanville.
