TRAFFORD, Pa. - April 30, 2023 - After posting the most total wins (10) and conference wins (6) in program history, Chatham Women's Lacrosse have clinched the four seed in the PAC Tournament. The Cougars will host the five-seeded Grove City Wolverines at UPMC Graham Field in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night at 7 PM.

In the regular season meeting between the two teams, the Cougars bested the Wolverines in Grove City by a score of 14-10. Senior attacker Selena Justus and junior midfielders Felicia Hutter and Sam Beall-Dennell each recorded hat tricks in the win.

Chatham clinched the four seed with Saturday afternoon's victory over the Saint Vincent Bearcats. Tuesday's matchup will mark the second PAC Tournament game in program history. In 2021, the Cougars earned the two seed in the PAC and hosted Thiel in the semifinals, eventually falling to the Tomcats 23-18.

The winner of Tuesday evening's quarterfinals will visit one-seeded W&J on Thursday in the semifinals. Saturday's title game will be hosted by the highest-remaining seed following Thursday's semifinal games. The winner of the PAC Championship Tournament will receive the conference's automatic-qualifying bid to the Division III Championship. The 46-team field for this year's Division III Championship is scheduled to be announced Monday, May 8. First and second round games are scheduled for Saturday-Sunday, May 13-14.
