TRAFFORD, Pa. - It was a record-setting fall in the classroom in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), as 823 student-athletes were named to the Conference's Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2022 semester. Forty-six of those student-athletes came from Chatham. Of the Cougars recognized, Women's Soccer led the pack with 16 student-athletes honored, followed by Women's Volleyball with 13 and Men's Soccer with 10.
The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.Â
Sports included in the PAC Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2022 semester are: men's cross country (MXC), women's cross country (WXC), football (FB), men's soccer (MSOC), women's soccer (WSOC), women's tennis (WTEN) and women's volleyball (WVB).
Leading the 11 full-time league schools wasÂ
Washington & Jefferson College with 89 student-athletes earning PAC Fall 2022 Academic Honor Roll accolades. Tied for second on the list wasÂ
Allegheny College andÂ
Grove City College with 84 each, whileÂ
Westminster College had 72 on the honor roll.Â
Geneva College was next with 61 and was followed byÂ
Waynesburg University (60),Â
Thiel College (58),Â
Saint Vincent College (57),Â
Bethany College (55),Â
Franciscan University (51) andÂ
Chatham University (46).
The PAC's two football affiliate members,Â
Carnegie Mellon University andÂ
Case Western Reserve University, totaled 57 and 50, respectively.
The 823 student-athletes on this Fall's list eclipses the previous record of 705, set in the Fall of 2021.Â
