Chatham dominates Hiram 22-14

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – March 26th, 2019 – Chatham University defeated the Hiram Terriers 22-14. The Cougars improve to 2-3, while the Terriers fall to 2-7.  
 
THE SHORT STORY
The first 15 minutes were back and forth, seeing five lead changes and four tied scores. Heading into halftime, the Cougars held a 12-7 edge over the Terriers. Chatham dominated the second half, outscoring Hiram 10-6. 
 
KEY COUGARS
Seven Cougars found the back of the net tonight. Kerry Carr scored an impressive seven goals, with three assists and 11 draw control victories. Anna Prendergast added six goals and 11 draw control wins. Tifani McElhose added three goals, one assist, and three ground balls. Brielle Rapsas and Jennie Piotrzkowski both finished with two goals. Kristen MacConnell and Claire Norton picked up one goal a piece. Piotrzkowski and Norton grabbed a team-high four ground balls. Rachel Borucki, Piotrzkowski and Norton earned two caused turnovers each. Sam Miller was in the net for the Cougars, making 11 saves.
