Chatham shuts out Waynesburg 20-0

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – APRIL 18th, 2018 – The Cougars shutout the Yellows Jackets of Waynesburg 20-0. Chatham has improved to 4-5 in the ORLC on a three game win streak.
 
THE SHORT STORY
The Cougars dominated the Yellow Jackets from start to finish. The Chatham defense held Waynesburg to just five shots.
 
KEY COUGARS
Sydney Collins registered four goals, four assists, five ground balls and five draw controls. Kendra McBroom finished with three goals, two assists and four ground balls. Madison Black recorded three goals, one assist, four ground balls and three draw controls. Anna Prendergast tallied three goals, one assist and six draw controls. Lauren Singer, Kristina Block and Sydney Isbell each netted two goals. Singer picked up one assist and three ground balls. Jenifer McLaren scored one goal off of one shot. On the defensive end, Michelle Jones earned three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Maria Cefola started for the Cougars in the net recording two saves. Emma Cook went in at halftime making two saves.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
