Box Score 2 WAYNESBURG, PA – April 10, 2018 – The Chatham University softball team fell twice on Tuesday at Waynesburg, dropping game one, 8-0 (5 innings), and game two, 3-0.
RECORDS: Chatham now drops to 2-16 (0-6 PAC) while Waynesburg gets to .500 at 10-10 (3-3 PAC).
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars will host Geneva on Thursday, April 12 starting at 6:30 pm before hosting Bethany on Saturday, April 14 at 1 pm for Senior Day.
GAME ONE (Waynesburg 8, Chatham 0 – 5 innings)
AT THE PLATE: The Cougars managed five hits from five different student-athletes as sophomore
Marissa Wightman (Cypress, Calif./Cypress), senior
Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's), first-year
Alexis Gonzalez (Riverside, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga), sophomore
Cassandra Gray (Allen Park, Mich./Allen Park) and first-year
Caitlin Worwood (Caldwell, Idaho/Caldwell) all collected base knocks.
IN THE CIRCLE: Sophomore
Madison Howell (Huntington, W.V./Huntington) suffered the loss, tossing 4 2/3 innings while fanning four Yellow Jackets.

AT THE PLATE: Five different players tallied the hits for the Cougars as first-year
Julie Swedberg (San Bruno, Calif./Capuchino), sophomore
Kassandra Deane (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge Area), sophomore
Katie McClelland (Stoneboro, Pa./Lakeview), Petersen and Gray all notched the base knocks.
IN THE CIRCLE: Swedberg tossed six frames in the defeat, scattering seven hits while allowing two earned runs and striking out four.
