Baseball to play varsity game at Consol Energy Park

PITTSBURGH, Pa. –MARCH 20th, 2017 – Point Park will host Chatham at the Consol Energy Park for a varsity doubleheader on Tuesday March 21st starting at 1 pm. 

Consol Energy Park is home to the Washington Wild Things, a professional baseball team based in Washington, Pa. The Wild Things are a member of the East Division of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. The athletic program is housed on Chatham's historic and beautiful Shadyside Campus in the $18 million, 74,000 square foot Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC). Women's sports at Chatham include basketball, cross country, ice hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track & field, and volleyball. Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
