Chatham Falls to McDaniel 79-47

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA. – NOVEMBER 17th, 2017 – The Chatham University Women's Basketball team fell to McDaniel College in the first game of the McDaniel Tip-off Tournament. The Cougars fell to the Green Terror 79-47.  
 
KEY COUGARS: Three starters totaled double figures tonight. Ashley McClain led the team with 15 points and seven rebounds. Katie Sieg tallied 13 points and four rebounds. Olivia Barkley recorded ten points, eight rebounds and two assists. Maggie Soeder and Brittani Smith grabbed five rebounds apiece.  
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The game was tied 12-all with 3:23 showing in the first quarter, before the Terrors tallied seven straight points to make it 19-12 after one period. Chatham cut the McDaniel lead to two twice in the second quarter but by the end of the half it was a 33-25 game. The Cougars came out strong in the second half, scoring eight of the first ten points but with 4:54 left in the third quarter, Chatham was down 47-37. McDaniel would continue to grow the lead throughout the final quarter.
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Tomorrow Chatham is back on the court at 2 pm in the final game of the McDaniel Tip-off Tournament.
