Cougars fall at Becker 5-2

Box Score MARLBOROGH, Ma – JANUARY 7th, 2016 – The Chatham Cougars fell to the Becker Hawks in the second game of the weekend series 5-2.

The Basics

Records: Chatham (5-7-1 overall) Becker (4-9-1 overall)
Location: Becker College in Marlborough, Ma.

How it happened

Becker would score two unanswered goals in the first period followed by a power play goal in the second period.
The third period would include two Becker goals and two Chatham goals.
Junior Cassidy Colhoun would put the Cougars on the board at 5:05 in the third period assisted by first year Holly Ackerman and sophomore Michelle Jones.
At 12:39 Jones would score her second goal of the weekend assisted by junior Lyndsey Gallaway and Colhoun.
Chatham finished the game with a 46-21 edge in shots.
Sophomore Jillian Rowland led the Cougars in shots with 10.
Junior Kasandra Petersen tallied nine shots on net.

In the goal

Junior goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT / Thunder Bay Queens) was in the net for the entire 60 minutes. She made 16 saves with five goals against.
