Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa – (2/20/2015) – The Chatham University hockey team skated hard, but lost tonight to Neumann University 2-1. The Cougars are 6-4-1 at home this season, and look to rebound quickly against Neumann tomorrow afternoon. 
 
The Cougars wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, when first year defender Lyndsey Gallaway (Wooster, OH) scored at just the (00:30) mark of the first period. Sophomore forward Erika Martin (Fairbanks, AK) and first year forward Cassidy Colhoun (Kincordine, ON) would assist on the play.
 
Chatham took plenty of shots tonight. The team had 34 in total, with senior defender Brittany Yoisten (Coldwater, ON) leading the team with 6.  Sophomore forward Jenny Jones (Kernersville, NC) and first year defender Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, MN) each recorded 4 shots against Neumann, while Martin ended the game with 3.
 
The Cougars were impressive on face-offs this evening. Martin went 8 for 14, while Jones was 8 for 17. First year forward Haley Porterfield (Allegany, NY) helped the team winning 6 of her 9 face-offs.
 
Senior goaltender Megan Buchanan (Stittsville, ON) saved 20 of her 22 shots faced in the loss. The Cougars power play units could not rally tonight, going 0-5. 
 
Chatham gets ready for their rematch against Neumann University tomorrow for a 12:00 p.m. puck drop.
