Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA – Despite career games from
Jesse Hinkle and
Emily Schmidt, Chatham University fell to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Bethany College on Wednesday, 87-78. Chatham is now 3-19 overall and 2-13 in conference play. Bethany improves to 7-15 (6-9 PAC).
Hinkle recorded her sixth double-double in her last seven games, scoring a career-high 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. She also dished out a team-high four assists. Schmidt scored a season-best 23 points on 11-16 shooting and had nine rebounds.
Jessica Manfredi scored 12 points, while
Becky Rowe also had four assists.
Taylor Verrico led the Bison with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Sami Schott tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Chatham shot 34-72 (47.2%) from the floor, while Bethany shot 29-65 (44.6%). Bethany held a distinct advantage from the free throw line, going 26-39. Chatham went 9-17 from the free throw line. In the final 2:40 of the game, Bethany shot 12-16 from the line.
Chatham returns to PAC action on Saturday, February 15, when they travel to Washington & Jefferson College for a 1:00pm tipoff.
