Chatham Routs Penn State-Greater Allegheny for First Win

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA – Five different players scored a goal, including four from Skylar Benjamin, in Chatham University's 10-1 thumping of visiting Penn State-Greater Allegheny on Saturday. Chatham picks up their first win of the season and moves to 1-2. PSU-GA falls to 0-2.

Benjamin scored the first two goals of the game, at the 5:49 and 15:04 marks, respectively. Midway through the first half, Chatham scored three goals in a 2:40 span to take a 5-0 lead. Savannah Moon started that barrage with a goal from Benjamin, and Benjamin finished it with two goals of her own.

Lindsey Matusak and Sarah Jugovic each scored two goals early in the second half, and Auralia Henderson capped the scoring with a goal at the 70:40 mark.

Henderson led Chatham with three assists, while Matusak had two and Benjamin tallied one. Goalkeeper Liz Sawyer faced two shots on goal and made one save. Chatham out-shot PSU-GA 27-3.

Chatham returns to action on Wednesday, September 11, when they travel to Mount Aloysius College for a 5:00pm kick-off.
