Adrian Takes Down Chatham, 5-0

FOX CHAPEL, PA – Visiting Adrian College out-shot Chatham University 52-6 en route to a 5-0 victory over the Cougars in ice hockey action on Sunday. The Bulldogs improve to 7-2-0 on the season, while Chatham falls to 2-6-0.

Danielle Smith scored the first two goals for the Bulldogs, and was followed by Hannah McGowan, Sarah Connelly, and Abby Kibler, who each scored one goal.

Chatham Goaltender Megan Buchanan (So., Ottawa, ONT/Rideau St. Lawrence) faced 51 total Bulldog shots, making 47 saves. Adrian's final goal came with an empty net.

First year players Katie Perrine (Menominee, MI/Wyoming Seminary) and Marie Soukup (Lake Bluff, IL/Team Illinois U19) led the Chatham offense with two shots each. Morgan Becer (Jr., Ligonier, PA/Team Pittsburgh) and Julia Hunter (Sr., Oxford Station, ONT/Toronto Rattlers) recorded one shot apiece.

Chatham returns to action on December 1-2, when they travel to ECAC-West foe Oswego State.
