TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference released their newest set of weekly awards. Receiving awards this week were a pair of men's lacrosse players. Thomas Whitaker was named the PAC Offensive Player of the Week and Cody Randal was named the PAC Specialist of the Week.


Whitaker was named the PAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, previously on March 9th. Whitaker recorded team highs with nine points and seven goals helping lead the Cougars to a 2-0 week. Whitaker recorded five goals and one assist in the Cougars win over Westminster where he recorded four goals in the second quarter, helping the Cougars build a five goal lead at half. He then scored two goals and had one assist in the Cougars win at Allegheny.


Randal was named the PAC Specialist of the Week for the first time this season after dominating on face offs for the Cougars. The senior went an impressive 30 of 39 with a win rate of .769. In addition, Randal scooped 15 ground balls. In the Cougars win against Westminster, Randal won 13 of 19 face offs and recorded six ground balls. In the win at Allegheny, he recorded a 17 for 20 line on face offs, scooping nine ground balls and scoring one goal.


Whitaker, Randal and the Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Latrobe, PA for a PAC showdown with Saint Vincent at 6 PM.
