TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released their latest round of weekly award winners. Both men's and women's lacrosse teams had a player recognized.
Thomas Whitaker was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week while
Sara Kaesshaefer was named PAC Newcomer of the week.
Whitaker was named the PAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season after leading the Cougars in scoring last week. Whitaker recorded three goals in each of the Cougars two games extending his hat trick streak to four games. He broke the 20 goal mark on the season in the Cougars game on Saturday at Arcadia.
Kaesshaefer was recognized in PAC weekly awards for the second time this season. She was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week on February 23rd. This is the first Newcomer of the Week award for Kaesshaefer who scored three goals in her three shots on goal in the Cougars win over Marian. Kaesshaefer added two ground balls and her first career caused turnover as well in the win.
Whitaker and the Men's Lacrosse team will be back in action on Saturday March 14th at 4 PM, when they host Capital.Â
Kaesshaefer and the Women's Lacrosse team will be back in action on Saturday March 14th at 1 PM, when they host Fredonia.
