PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On Saturday, the No. 2 Cougars will take on the top seeded Grove City Wolverines in the PAC Championship Game with an NCAA National Tournament berth on the line. The Wolverines entered the season as the favorite to repeat as PAC Champions after beating the Cougars in the PAC Championship game last season.
The Cougars and Wolverines met earlier this season, March 28th, and the Wolverines won 18-7. The Wolverines had a big first quarter that put the Cougars behind the eight ball and unable to come back.
Thomas Whitaker scored three goals to lead the team.
Jacob Lubawy scored two while
Cody Randal and
Jackson Adkins scored one each. This will be the 13th matchup all time between the Cougars and Wolverines. The Cougars are still searching for their first win in the series. This will be the fifth time the teams have met in the postseason, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2025.
The Cougars and Wolverines will take the field at 7 PM in Grove City, Pa. for the PAC Championship.
